Last few weeks at the OSS

I have never felt like time has gone by so quickly as this semester. Finishing up my final press releases and road releases at the senate, and it almost feels like I have become a pro at it. The issues being brought up during session are getting serious and the senators are starting to get feisty. On Wednesday before I left work they were discussing how they think President Barack Obama has contributed to this country and let's just say not everyone has positive things to say. At one point, I believed that I had what it took to be a politician, but now I honestly can say that I don't have thick enough skin for the job. The senators are not afraid to say how they feel about each other's opinions and because I am usually very passionate about my opinions, I would not be able to handle the extreme criticism. Being able to hear the senators debate makes me feel proud to be an American because we live in a democracy and our opinions can effect what happens during session. By writing to our senators, we can have issues brought up that Oklahomans find important and those issues could be taken care of during session. That is all I have for this week and only have one more week to go!
